Meet The MSW Team!

Our team is small but mighty. We focus on working with a small number of luxury clients each year so we can give the best experience and our fullest attention to each couple. We absolutely love what we do but, even more — we love seeing the fruits of our labor in ridiculously happy couples, beautifully designed weddings and packed dance floors.

Annie Kamiya

Lead Planner & Creative

Annie (she/her) is the founder & co-owner of Mango Season Weddings.  Her work is centered on one idea: weddings should be wildly fun yet wonderfully efficient.

Currently, she is burning the midnight oil refining her 12-step planning process, a cornerstone of her MSW methodology, to infuse more joy and less work into wedding planning while honoring multi-cultural traditions.

While she absolutely looks like a mild-mannered librarian by day, by night she lets her inner rockstar out and shaggy mohawk down to sing with her husband, Curtis — check out that handsome devil down below! — and band Mango Season at wedding venues all over O’ahu.

Favorite wedding day moment - First Dance

“I feel like all the love, personality and culture gets funneled into this moment. From choreographed waltzes to flash mobs, the first dance captures the spirit of a couple and makes every single guest smile or happy cry…or both!”

Curtis Kamiya

Music Director

Curtis (he/him) is the co-owner of Mango Season Weddings and the founder of Mango Season Music.  Born & raised in Honolulu, Hawai’i, he began officially gigging as a serious singer & guitarist at age 17. (Holding his amp in between his legs on his moped to every gig).

A graduate of the University of Puget Sound’s School of Music program, Curtis deepened and expanded on his real world music education which in turn provided him the guiding belief that powers his business today: music is the through line and heartbeat of your wedding day.  With this in mind, his ethos is to create a highly customized, unique playlist for each couple and to provide that “wow factor” for each wedding.

When not performing, writing, charting or dreaming in music, Curtis relishes nights at home to hone his meat braising skills — always brown your meat before putting it in the Crock Pot, kids! — to the delight of his wife and dog-hter.

Favorite wedding day Moment - ceremony

“During the processional when the officiant asks the guests to stand and the bride appears. That moment gets me every time, and I'm often singing at that moment. It's hard to sing while crying!”

Jessica Sayno

Assistant Planning Coordinator

Jessica (she/her), or Jess to all who get to easily know and love her, has been a valuable part of our Mango Season Weddings ‘ohana since 2012, and officially joined our team 2 years ago.

Also born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai’i, Jess is the jill-of-all-trades of Mango Season handling all aspects of our business from day-of coordination to vendor management.

While she falls squarely in the Millennial camp, she is an old soul wise beyond her years.  She brings that deep soulful self to every interaction she has with our clients.  Although Jess now calls Las Vegas home, she is an ambassador of the rich culture she grew up with, and passionately shares her experiences of Hawai’i with our couples.

favorite wedding day Moment - The vows

“I’m such a sucker for romantic declarations! As often as I can, I try to work near the ceremony just so I can listen in. I become such a sap when I get to witness the love two people have for each other.”

Norimaki Momilani

Team Mascot

Nori (she/her) is the apple of our eye, the cream in our coffee, the extra salt in our sour poi — our sweet rescue doggie of 5 years.  This grumpy old girl got her namesake because she looks like a sushi roll (norimaki) and she was found abandoned in a park in Pearl City. (momilani means “heavenly pearl” in Hawaiian and is a nod to her grandma’s middle name).

When not repping our company as team mascot, she adores morning and nighttime snuggles, hunting for — and hysterically NEVER catching — mo’o (lizards), and eating only the best freeze-dried meat products topped with probiotic powder. (Two guesses who buys her all that!).

Favorite wedding day Moment - TREATS

“I absolutely LOVE wedding days because my humans feel so bad for me they always shower me with treats. I pretend to be sad when they leave so I can devour my dental bones and enjoy a good, quiet nap.”
